“It’s your reaction to adversity, not adversity itself that determines how your life’s story will develop.”
― Dieter F. Uchtdorf
This Jacaranda tree stands at a crossroad right opposite to our old office. I used to look at it everyday…the lush leaves, the pretty purple blooms, the tree’s silhouette against the setting sun…
Unfortunately, the tree went dry a couple of years ago. At that time I assumed it was the winter normal. But sadly, spring too didnt seem to make a difference.
Perhaps it was all the digging around its base, to make way for rainwater canal that sapped it of its life. Or so I thought and had kind of given up on it.
A few days ago, on my way back home from one of my errands, I was in for a pleasant surprise to see that it had sprung back to life!! Maybe the lockdown did help it to bounce back unhindered 🙂
It is only partially restored but the sight filled me with joy!

Joining this week’s edition of #ThursdayTreeLove hosted by Parul. The linky goes live on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. Hop over to see and enjoy more tree pictures and stories!
If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog and link it back to her latest #thursdaytreelove post.
Until next time!
Cheers 🙂
That’s wonderful!! Maybe the lockdown meant no traffic or other human intervention at that site which allowed any surviving branch to grow! Superb observation!!

I’ve only knowingly seen a jacaranda tree once in my life, and it wasn’t during its bloom. I would so love to see one in bloom, in person, one day. These must be pretty hardy (as far as abuse) trees.
