A palm tree that welcomes us as we step into our apartment. One that we have seen growing from a small sapling to its present height (almost 15-16 feet).
Though it has stood there all along, its only now that I suddenly feel its mighty presence.
Its like how we see children grow up.. all along they’re there around us but one fine day we’re strangely awed by how big/tall they’ve grown…isnt it?
Here are a few pictures captured from the first floor of the building…


I tried to figure out which one of the palms this is but am undecided between the Royal palm and the Bottle palm. Leaning more towards Royal palm. Most likely it depends on the trunk, which i’ve not captured in these pictures π

I love palm trees, but, alas, they can’t grow where I live. I do, though, have the experience of watching trees grow over the years (I’ve lived in my neighborhood over 30 years now).
