I think I remember seeing these in Africa. Are these set in some sort of crystals or stones?
Lovely souvenirs indeed, Priya. Thanks for sharing on #WW.

My guess was “egg” and “Africa” ……. nit bad 🙂 but didn’t think of ostrich! Absolutely stunning souvenir option! I wonder if they light up too like a lamp. Thanks for sharing this Priya

Oh wow!
The ones I’d seen did not have an option to light up. I think they are not translucent enough for that.
Glad you liked it..thank you Monika 🙂

Are they made of ivory? Or maybe some crystal?
Whatever they are made of, they are so elegantly beautiful.

Ostrich eggs! Who could have guessed that! Now, this was a hard one. If I hadn’t read all the above comments, the word topaz was on my mind. Nevertheless, the painted eggs are beautiful. One question- Are they going to hatch some day?

I had seen these on my trip to South Africa last year and was amazed too.
Thank you for hopping over and leaving your thoughts. Have a nice day!

They are very lovely. Are they very durable or fragile? Great post.

Thank you Geri! Honestly I do not know how durable they are as I did not buy one. They are definitely not as fragile as chick eggs, but do need to be handled with care I believe…
Hope to see you around…
