Excitement and enthusiasm! Cheerful chatter and laughter πŸ™‚ Anxious teachers, excited students and hopeful parents. The school seemed to have come alive!!… such a contrast to the silence that prevails on other normal days!!

The day began with the usual inauguration speeches, lighting of the torch and the performances by the students which included Waka waka by the 1st and 2nd std students.

It was fun to watch the tiny tots running their cute races πŸ™‚ The races are centered around a theme… like going to a party, bunny race, so on. The nursery/pre nursery kids were paired to form a team.

Adi’s batch had the theme Rapunzel! The boys had to go and pick the flowing braid of their partner ..the princess, roll it and then rescue her πŸ™‚ Adi being the perfectionist, rolled the braid perfectly and finished last πŸ˜€

Ammu ran the tribal race. Dressed in sari, they had to run to a point where their accessories… a bead chain, a leafy headgear and waistband, were kept. They had to then wear these and run to the finishing line. The leaves in Ammu’s waistband were entangled and she struggled for a few moments to open and wear it. But she managed to finish 3rd!!
